I have created this blog as part of an assignment for an educational technology class. I will be exploring Blogger to see what potential uses there are in an early elementary classroom.
My name is Leslie Wilson. I am a second grade teacher in Gaylord, Michigan. I love the outdoors in the summer - the northern Michigan winters are NOT my favorite! I have 2 teenager children. Kyle is almost 19 and will begin his second year at Michigan State University this fall. He is an outstanding trumpet player and is a member of the Spartan Marching Band and Spartan Brass. Besides music, his other passion is computers, mostly web design. Danielle is 17 and will be a senior at Gaylord High School this fall. She is extremely out-going and athletic. She plays volleyball and soccer, and is very good at both. We also have a shih-tzu-chihuahua mix dog named Lucy who is about 1 1/2 years old. She is funny, annoying, infuriating, and a huge part of our family. We like to say that she is so ugly that she's cute! I've added some pictures of my little family. Above are Kyle and Danielle at Kyle's high school graduation in May 2008, and Lucy after her first haircut.
